Good news for BLINKS out there, as all four members of K-pop supergroup BLACKPINK will move forward with their current agency YG Entertainment.
According to this report, YG Entertainment announced, “After careful discussions with BLACKPINK, both parties signed exclusive contracts for ‘group activities’ based on deep trust.
Yang Hyun-suk, the executive producer of YG Entertainment, said, “We are delighted to continue our relationship with BLACKPINK”, adding that “BLACKPINK will continue to do its best to shine brighter in the global music scene as a representative of K-pop as well as our agency, and we send out our unwavering support and faith in their future moves.”
BLACKPINK plans to repay the love of fans around the world by releasing new albums as well as doing mega world tours, with YG’s support.
However, the keyword here is ‘group activities’, meaning that BLACKPINK members may not renew their individual exclusive contracts with YG Entertainment. Nothing about that is still confirmed as of writing.
Since their debut in 2016, BLACKPINK has developed into a mega-hit girl group globally with their releases, becoming one of K-pop’s top girl groups. -HallyuLife.com
