Korean pop girl group BLACKPINK is finally dropping their first full album called “BLACKPINK: THE ALBUM”, today, alongside a music video for the title track “Lovesick Girls”, which features a different flavor of music than BLACKPINK’s usual strong danced-themed songs.
The new album, which contains 8 songs, which the two have been previously pre-released, is set to bring BLACKPINK into new heights. One of the songs features American rapper Cardi B, adding her into the list of high profile foreign artists BLACKPINK had collaborated with, such as Dua Lipa and Selena Gomez.
Before the music video premiered, the group was featured on a YouTube Originals short documentary called RELEASED, showing some behind the scenes and exclusive insights about their work on “THE ALBUM.”
The music video premiere on YouTube has amassed an audience of more than 1.5 million, which was released at 12 AM EST / 1 PM KST. -HallyuLife.com
