Korean singer and BTOB member Lee Chang Sub stole the hearts of his Filipino Melodies (BTOB fans) last Saturday, March 22, at the SM North Edsa Skydome. After a long-awaited return, the wait was undoubtedly worth it, as he took fans on an unforgettable journey of emotions throughout the show.

The one-night-only show began with a back-to-back performances of ‘Chivalry’ and ‘Golden Hour’ and a warm message from Chang Sub himself:

Philippines, make some noise! Kumusta kayo? Ako ay si Chang Sub ng BTOB! Namiss ko kayo! Salamat po sa suporta. (Philippines, make some noise! How are you? I am Chang Sub of BTOB. I miss you all. Thank you for all the the support.)

According to Lee Chang Sub, ‘The Wayfarer’, which is the title of his solo tour means ‘traveler’, symbolizing his journey to different cities. He expressed his joy at finally returning to the Philippines to reunite with his beloved Filipino Melodies.

The concert continued with “Saturday Night” and “Stay,” filling the Skydome with an electrifying atmosphere. A fun coincidence? Chang Sub performed “Saturday Night” on an actual Saturday night, making the moment even more special. He also shared that replicating the dance moves of the legendary Michael Jackson was not easy but he pulled it off impressively. Chang Sub added that ‘Stay’ was the song that took the longest to record. His choreographers insisted it needed a dance routine and in the end, it turned out perfectly. Whenever he visits the Philippines, various fruits becomes his favorite food to eat.

Lee Chang Sub also sang ‘ Heavenly fate’, OST of ‘A Not So Fairy Tale’, ‘OLD TOWN’, ‘vain hope’, ‘I Guess I Loved You’, as well as cover song of Roy Kim’s ‘Only Then’, connecting to his fans through this song, and PSY’s ‘REFUGE’.

Lee Chang Sub took the energy to the next level as he partied with fans, performing “NEW WAVE” and “BUMBUMP.” The excitement peaked when Filipino Melodies chanted, “Isa pa!” (One more time!), prompting him to perform “BUMBUMP” twice. Seeing the crowd sing, dance, and jump along with him made the moment even more electrifying.

As Lee Chang Sub poses in front of his fans, a surprise video flashed on the screen and got touched with all the messages of love and support for him from his Filipino Melodies saying,

I really really appreciate the message of gratitude as well as the video, it’s overwhelming and touching. With all of you here tonight, I am really grateful to have my concert here in the Philippines tonight. Going on tour for this concert, I am grateful for Filo Melody for their support and love for me. I am really sincerely happy today. Thank you! Every time I do a concert, I always wonder and think about how I can make my concert better and my performances better. Next time, let’s meet again. Stay healthy, stay happy and let’s meet again.

Lee Chang Sub’s ‘The Wayfarer’ in Manila ended singing ‘ As always’, ’33’, ‘Macchiato’, and ‘#RUN’.
