IU is starting the year with a pre-release track from her upcoming full-length album!
On January 11, EDAM Entertainment announced that IU is preparing for her 5th full-length comeback album.

IU is currently in the midst of preparations for her fifth full-length album, and she will be pre-releasing one song from that album on January 27.
They also describe IU’s pre-release track as a bright and cheerful pop song that will energize whoever listens to it. This will also be the music genre she will be trying for the first time.
On January 9, IU shared an exciting news that she was preparing a new album as she received her Digital Song Daesang (Grand Prize) for ‘Blueming’ at the 35th Golden Disk Awards. She also shared a hint that she plans to drop a pre-release track before January ends.
