Melon Music Awards just announced the 40 nominees for this year’s ‘TOP 10’.
The Melon Music Awards dedicates the first week of December as its first-ever ‘MMA Week’ and the said week will be ‘untact’ due to the current situation. MMA Week will feature a variety of performances, special videos, stories, and interactions with fans online as they look back on the music made this year.
Eligibility for the ‘TOP 10’ will only be those who released music between November 30, 2019, and November 10, 2020. The nominees this year were chosen by weekly Melon Popularity Award (MPA) results (Melon weekly charts and votes) along with 11 artists who were additionally chosen by both Melon download and streaming counts. The final ‘TOP 10’ will be determined 80 percent based on Melon download and streaming counts and 20 percent based on votes.
Voting will be open from November 11 through November 20, and will be restricted only for Melon users with verified accounts.

The Melon Music Awards 2020 through ‘MMA WEEK’ will be held from December 2 to December 5 where the artists meet their fans through a festival. The main award ceremony will be held on December 5 at 7 pm KST. Nominees for other award categories will be announced on November 21, as well as voting for those categories will be opened. MMA 2020 will be airing on their official Youtube channel, the Melon app, and other various online platforms.
