MANILA — Korean actor and singer Park Hyung-Sik made his successful return mission after four years to meet his Filipino fans during his “SIKcret Time” fanmeeting last February 17 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, making it the most brand-supported K-event in recent history with 12 brands joining together to support the show.
The two-hour show began with him singing “Bud” from Our Blooming Youth’s official soundtrack, and the entire coliseum burst into cheers as the singer-actor greeted them with a warm smile:
Hello everyone, I’m Park Hyung-sik! Kumusta na kayong lahat, it’s been a while. Sobrang na-miss ko kayong lahat!
His fanmeeting tour ‘SIKcret Time’, like the name of his fandom “Sikcret”, is his special way of spending more time with his fans. Hyung-Sik shared moments from his latest Korean drama “Doctor Slump” with co-star Park Shin Hye, including a script-reading with the cast where he found the story relatable. And, like with the drama series, he hoped to provide comfort and a sense of healing through the show. He also had fun working together again with Park Shin Hye on a drama series after The Heirs in 2013.
The exciting night continues with mission games that Agent H (Park Hyung-Sik) must complete with the help of his passionate fans. Hyung-Sik completes the mission games, which include playing the traditional native game “sipa” and an emoji memory test. Hyun-Sik also surpasses the challenges in “The Poker Face Test” and “Code Breaking Ability Test”.

What makes his fanmeeting special is Park Hyun-Sik’s ability to transition from idol to actor mode so swiftly. He is a former member of the K-pop boy group ZE:A (debuted in 2010) and has appeared in several Korean dramas, including The Heirs (2013), Hwarang (2016-2017), Strong Girl Bong-Soon (2017), Suits (2018), Happiness (2021), Soundtrack #1 (2022), Our Blooming Youth (2023), Strong Girl Nam-Soon (2023), and his most recent Korean drama, Doctor Slump (2024).
Filipino Sikcrets enjoyed the night even more as host Janeena Chan taught him a lot of Filipino words and phrases such as “Mahal Kita”, “Naloloka ako sa’yo”, “Ang galing ninyo”, and “Maraming salamat po!”, which Hyung-Sik learned quickly and pronounced with sweetness.

Among the songs he sang, including Justin Bieber’s “Off My Face,” ZE: A’s “Breath,” and My Love From the Star’s OST “Every Moment of You,” the entire coliseum was surprised by Hyung-Sik’s voice as he sang “Just Once.”
His Filipino Sikcrets prepared a special clip for Hyung-Sik just after the photo time with them and was truly amazed by the passion and undying energy of his fans throughout the show.
Park Hyung-Sik thanked his fans saying:
“Thank you so much for all your passionate love (and) now I go back to Korea, I’ll come back with a lot more better project. Hoping that you will get excited and support me in my future projects.. And of course, I want to make more opportunities in the future to meet all of you more. Thank you very much.”
His “SIKcret Time” concluded with Hyung-Sik singing Strong Woman Do Bong Soon’s OST “Because of You,” showing that his Filipino Sikcrets are the reason why he continues to be passionate about his love for singing and acting, as well as his humility in every work he does.
Park Hyung Sik’s “2024 Asia Fan Meeting Tour: “SIKcret Time” in Manila was made possible by MQLive in partnership with P&Studio and Tonz Entertainment.
