BIGBANG member and soloist TAEYANG made his highly anticipated return to the Philippines, lighting up the stage at THE LIGHT YEAR concert in Manila on February 22, 2025, at the Mall of Asia Arena. As the final stop of his concert tour, Filipino fans were treated to an unforgettable night of nonstop performances and thrilling surprises.
Although it was delayed by an hour, the wait was well worth it as TAEYANG kicked off the electrifying two-hour concert with ‘Prayer’ and ‘I’ll be There, sending the crowd into a frenzy of excitement.
With a radiant smile, TAEYANG greeted his Filipino fans as the entire arena erupted in joyous cheers.

Manila opened his previous tour as the first stop, and now, it marks the grand finale of his THE LIGHT YEAR concert tour. It makes TAEYANG say,

The entire arena came alive as fans sang and danced along with TAEYANG as he performed ‘VIBE’, ‘1AM’, ‘Stay With Me’, ‘Make Love’, ‘Inspiration’, and ‘Only Look at Me’. With every beat and melody, the energy continued to rise up.
Since it’s the month of love, TAEYANG took fans on a nostalgic journey to the early 2010s, serenading the crowd with his iconic hits ‘Wedding Dress’ and ‘I Need a Girl”, along with BIGBANG’s ‘Blue’, ‘If You’, and ‘Loser’. TAEYANG surprised fans with a heartfelt rendition of TJ Monterde’s ‘Palagi’, filling the arena with joy and kilig.

To his surprise, the crowd joyfully dubbed him “Taeyang Monterde” after he delivered the song with his soulful voice and impressive accent. The BIGBANG treat continues with back-to-back performances of ‘A Fool of Tears’, ‘BANG BANG BANG’, ‘Fantastic Baby’, ‘Big Bang’, and ‘We Like 2 Party’. He also performed ‘Shoong!’, ‘Ringa Linga’ and sang his memorable ballad track ‘Eyes, Nose, Lips’.
TAEYANG said, “I’ll try my best, but you guys should know that I’m trying hard. Trust me, I’ll try harder.” This was after the V.I.P.s chanted ‘BIGBANG’ three times. An encore stage of ‘Superstar’, ‘Body’, ‘Night Fall’, and ended his concert tour in Manila with ‘Seed’.

Hearing TAEYANG and BIGBANG’s songs live on stage once again filled the air with nostalgia, making fans even more excited for his and the group’s future projects (and hopefully, a reunion concert). The entire arena transformed into a bright yellow ocean, as devoted V.I.Ps, who had patiently awaited his return to the Philippines, celebrated the unforgettable night.
